The temperature dependence of the intermediate parameters used in intermediate-resonance treatment has been investigated through an exact-numerical approach. In calculating the Doppler coefficient of the resonance integral with the interference between resonance and potential scattering taken into account, the temperature dependence of the parameter for the absorber becomes quite important, and neglect of the temperature dependence gives rise to serious errors in the Doppler coefficient of the resonance integral. In the case of the parameter for moderator scattering, however, hardly any temperature dependence is observed.<BR>A simplified method is proposed for taking account of the temperature dependence of the IR parameter in intermediate resonance approximation. This method is an interpolation approach based on the results obtained from the foregoing exact numerical calculation. The simplified method proposed gives good results for the Doppler coefficient of the resonance integral.
