4. Coring-out Method on the Treatment of Fistula-in-Ano

Preveous treatment on fistula-in-ano has been laying open method. This method simply cut off the anal canal including internal and external sphincter results in severe dysfunction of anal canal. Since 10 years we have applied coring out method, originally deviced by Alan G. Parks, which has two technical factor, cryptectomy and fistulectomy.<BR>As far anal dysfunction, there are very few cases complaining soiling and so on, in cases applied this coring out method.<BR>Further more, we have deviced more simple technique, ductectomy, and applied this on radiated complete fistula, and made success to minimanize dysfunction of anal canal.<BR>Concerning to complexed fistula, semi-horse shoe or horse shoe type, coring out method is still recommendable technique on those cases on which effective drainage opra-tion has been applied previouslly.
