[原著］先天性第11因子欠乏症を伴った大動脈弁閉鎖不全症の1例

Aortic valve replacement with SJM mechanical valve was successfully performed in a 23-year-old male with congenital factor 11 deficiency (hemophilia c). Aortic valve insufficiency was confirmed by cardiac catheterization and aortography. Specific assay for factor 11 using plasma artificially depleted of factor 11 was done, and his factor 11 plasma level was only 3 %. Preoperatively, he received fresh forzen plasma, so that factor 11 level rised to 56 %, and open heart surgery was performed safely. To our knowledge, the patient described is the first patient with congentital factor 11 deficiency to undergo valve replacement in the world.
