It is one of important problems in highway engineering to analyze the conduction of heat in the asphalt pavement road. It is assumed that asphalt road near the surface is composed of two layers subjected to diurnal variations of surface temperature, although it is actually composed of compound layer. In this paper, the data which was observed in asphalt pavement road of two types of which one was placed on soil-cement and the other on crushed stone are analyzed. And, by considering the amplitude of first harmonics for diurnal variations of temperature at the surface and the interface, and the damping of their amplitudes. The difference of thermal profile near the road due to the substance of layer are discussed.
