A demultiplexer whose input waveguide intersectsperpendicularly to one of the output waveguides is proposed andinvestigated by the finite-difference beam-propagation method. A1.55- m-pass/1.31- m-reflection property is achieved regardlessof polarizations. Detailed study of power evaluation is also madeon the basis of the Poynting vector.
