シアン橋架け二元金属化合物[Ni(dimen)_2]_2[Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_{0.5}・4H_2O (1)(dmen=1,1-dimethylethylendiamin; BPDS=4,4'-biphenyldisulfonate ion)は一次元鎖状構造で低温においてメタ磁性を示す。脱水処理で得られる[Ni(dmen)_2][Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_0.5 (1a)は二次元シート構造を持ち、T_c=10.7 K 以下で強磁性を示した。1aは空気中で吸湿して2水和物[Ni(dmen)_2]_2[Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_{0.5}・2H_2O(1b)を与え、これは1と同様にメタ磁性を示した。1aと1bは吸湿/脱水処理で相互変換され、これに伴って強磁性とメタ磁性を可逆的に変換できる。A cyanide-bridged bimetallic compound [Ni(dmen)_2]_2[Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_{0.5}・4H_2O (1)(dmen=1,1-dimethylethylenediamine; BPDS=4,4'-biphenyldisulfonate ion)has a 1-D structure extended by Fe-CN-Ni linkages and shows metamagnetic nature at low temperature. Dehydration of 1 affords anhydrous [Ni(dmen)_2]_2[Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_{0.5} (1a) that has a 2-D sheet structure and shows ferromagnetic ordering below T_c = 10.7 K . On hydration of 1a in open air, the dihydrate [Ni(dmen)_2]_2[Fe(CN)_6](BPDS)_{0.5}・2H_2O (1b) is obtained that shows metamagnetic nature like 1. 1a and 1b can be interconverted by hydration and dehydration with reversible change in magnetic nature between ferromagnetism and metamagnetism.
