The private computer room of the Center for International Students of Mie University was opened in April 2003. At the time of establishment of the Computer room, a system was put into practice. We introduce the activity report about the system: ① The students that receive CIS classes can utilize the computer room. These students are able to get a password and user account number. ② A shared folder system for teachers ＆ students was installed, and ③ A new system was made for use of the Internet. Furthermore, we introduce practical management activities such as the method of control/operation. ① Rulecollection and dispensation, ② Practical application of the computers and formation of a technical support team (management system), and ③ preparation conducted to open the new computer room such as informing teachers about the shared folder system. Also, the lesson contents were changed due to the opening of the computer room, to include computer use. New lessons were introduced in which oral presentations using “power point” in the Listening Class of the Middle Level Ⅱ Course are presented. This paper promotes the possibility of the development of effective education using computers in the future of Japanese teaching.
