Mothers who possess difficulties or concerns regarding ambiguous anxieties, caused bythe annoyance of childrearing, cannot control themselves. It seems that the mothers'own and their family's unsolved problems lurk in such anxieties. Their problems forcedtheir children to bear the burden of intergenerational transmission, and the childrenexpressed it with their symptoms and behaviors. The purpose of this paper is toabstract from and review the most academically outstanding research papers onintergenerational transmission from the psychoanalytic perspectives and to clarify themethod for future work. In this paper, the definition of intergenerational transmissionis that a parent's unsolved problems between his or her own parent and him or her aretransmitted in a way that he or she is annoyed by the problems and he or she has somedifficulties to rear his or her children. First, the paper is reviewed by all the fourthemes related to intergenerational transmission. Second, based on the review above, theclinical case of the mother, annoyed by her six-year-old daughter, is presented andconsideration from the viewpoint of intergenerational transmission is attempted. Finally, how future work should be conducted is indicated and that the clinical cases the authorexperienced should also be considered from the Jungian perspectives.
