This paper reports on the presentation-based class conducted for the second-year students in 2008. Thepurpose of the class was to develop students' communicative competence through oral presentations. The studentsgave three presentations on different topics individually or in groups. They had to undergo a variety of cognitiveprocesses through their preparation and presentations, which were thought to lead to the improvement of theircommunication skills. The paper also reports on the way of evaluating presentations and the result of the questionnaire.
