This paper introduces the teaching materials which are developed to support such the lessons related to vibrationand earthquake resistance in the department of civil engineering and architecture. They are composed of hand-operatedportable shaking table, structure model, accelerometers, display panel and PC. Students can shake the table bythemselves and they can feel the level of vibration in seismic intensity and acceleration. The response of the structuremodel as well as Fourier spectra and response amplification ratio are shown on real-time basis, which helps the instinctivefeel for the vibration of structure by ground excitation and can be used for the verification of the theory.
