This paper presents the measurements of reverberation time for estimating sound insulation in residential buildings. The reverberation time was measured in a total of 44 rooms according to ISO 3382. The results showed that the average reverberation times of the occupied and the unoccupied houses were about 0.3-0.5 sec and 1.2-1.5 sec, respectively, at 500Hz octave band frequency. The reverberation time generally depended on the frequency of itself. ; the lower the frequency, the higher the reverberation time. In addition, the correction values for evaluating of sound insulation in terms of normalized and standardized level difference were compared
