To design the indirect ultrasonic irradiated reactors, the effects of material and thickness of the reactor bottom plate on the ultrasonic intensity were investigated. Glass bottom plate could transmit ultrasound more intensively than polyethylene plate. The thinner the thickness of bottom plate, the larger the ultrasonic intensity was. Therefore, the reactor bottom was selected a 1 mm thickness glass plate. For the glass bottom reactor, the effects of the some operating conditions such as ultrasonic frequency and liquid height in the reactor on degradation rate were investigated. For the increase in the irradiation distance and liquid height in the reactor, the degradation and ultrasonic power changed cyclically.
