Recently, liposomes are used a carrier in drug delivery systems. By an external stimulus such as ultrasound irradiation and heating, liposome membrane is cracked so that the intra-liposomal content is released. The phenomenon can keep, isolate, transport and discharge liquid reactant. The novel technology makes possible a lot of chemical reactors integrated into a single unit. For example, the initiation of chemical reaction can be suitably controlled by optimum control of external stimuli in time and space. In this study, release rate of intra-liposomal content from liposome was experimentally investigated. Ultrasound irradiation and heating were used as an external stimulus.
