Ultrasonic degradation of phenol was carried out in the presence of Fe doped TiO_2 (Fe/TiO_2). Fe/TiO_2 was prepared by the impregnation method. Anatase type TiO_2 was immersed in the Fe^<3+> ion aqueous solution. After drying, the powder was calcinated to dope Fe^<3+> ion into TiO_2. The activity of the catalyst was evaluated by the kinetics of the ultrasonic degradation. The catalytic activity of Fe/TiO_2 was about four times that of bare TiO_2. The effects of synthesis conditions of Fe/TiO_2 and degradation conditions of phenol were also investigated. The optimum Fe content in Fe/TiO_2 was 0.15 wt %. The higher Fe content makes the recombination cite for excited electron and hole.
