The Tor network is a system and an open network that defends against network surveillance of personal freedom and privacy in the Internet. Tor provides a privacy and censorship resistance network through relays that are run by volunteers around the Internet. The barrier to widespread use of Tor is due to the variety of performance problems. We focused on enhancing Tor path selection by selecting performance flags nodes, which are more stable, have high bandwidth and advertised TCP Window sizes. We determined the better path selection based on actively measured the end-to-end RTTs, TCP throughput and TCP Window sizes of selected relays.
