We developed a passive ranging system for the orbit determination of geostationary satellites. The system consists of a versatile analog-to-digital converter and a personal computer, and most of the digital signal processing is realized with software. We evaluated the performance of system in a real environment using a geostationary satellite and ground stations operated by SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation.
