This paper discusses performing a multifaceted analysis of the network of automotive parts suppliers from a new viewpoint. The effectiveness of research in the network of automotive suppliers until now has been discussed, but such research has only been considered from a disjointed, short-term viewpoint. This paper attempts to derive an analytical viewpoint that considers the process behing the automotive supplier network and sets a longer time frame for analysis. Considerations of the following aspects have been incorporated into this new analytical viewpoint: strategic theories on supplier management, sociological matters, and theories on small to mid-size companies. This new analytical viewpoint also utilizes the three axes of economic factors, social factors, and business development. As a result, it is possible to understand phenomena that are based on management activities, which are socially vital, and further discuss how network activities have changed - including the business development of other companies.
