This paper conducts to present information needed for improvement of lower secondary science education in Myanmar. This investigates the similarities and differences of science education in Japan and Myanmar according to science curriculum and science methodology. Based on the data gathered through observation, two curricula can make to develop the students' perspectives and ideas. However, Japanese science curriculum is more advanced level than Myanmar because it contains both deeper thinking and making more time for experiments. Methodology of Japan consists of the teaching and encouraging for individual's creativity and thinking power for the students performing experiments and presentations. Practical based teaching methods are commonly used in Japan while theory based teaching methods are still a little dominant in Myanmar.
