Software Defined Networks(SDN) are nowadays increasingly becoming more popular. The main advantage of these networks is their flexibility in terms of design and implementation. The main challenge behind SDNs is keeping the same performance while increasing the flexibility. In this paper, we discuss different in-network processing services as main building blocks of SDNs to demonstrate their considerable importance and impact.
