A questionnaire concerning practical training in handicapped facilities was carried out. Responses were obtained from 67 students in Kurume Shin-ai Womens College. Results obtained from the questionnaire were as follows : 1) although the applicants for handicapped facilities at the admission to the college were very few, 30% of them hoped to get a job at the facilities after their practical training ; 2) understanding of works or activities of nanny (childminder) was very high. They thought the work is very hard, but important job because the handicapped facilities are their houses and nannies are mothers and fathers of the handicapped. It is necessary for them to understand each handicapped and to make reliance with him or her ; 3) as the students who obtained satisfactory results in the practical training were relatively low (58%), it is necessary to offer more information on practical training in handicapped facilities to students before the training.
