Recent development of the continuum-discretized coupled-channels method (CDCC) is reviewed. The following three topics are covered: i) four-body CDCC with the cluster-orbital shell-model (COSM) wave functions, COSM-CDCC, and its application to the study of nuclear breakup of ^<22>C, ii) the eikonal reaction theory (ERT) that accurately describes inclusive breakup processes within the framework of CDCC, and iii) some applications of CDCC to nuclearastrophysics.
