• Two kinds of English word lists based on error analysis of dictation were used for the improvement of spoken word recognition in listening. Two classes of university students practiced with either the list of correct answers or that of words with contrasting phoneme sequence based on error analysis. The effects were measured by the dictation of target words in different sentence contexts and were analyzed comparing with the results of the first dictation. Some suggestive findings can be observed from the results.
