Fourteen anti-emetic Chinese traditional prescriptions were assayed for their antiemetic effects by using young chicks. Six of the prescriptions tested, i.e. Bukuryo-in, Hange-koboku-to, Ninjin-to, Hange-byakuzyutu-tenma-to, Antyu-san and Kakkosyoki-san were statistically effective for suppressing vomiting induced by copper sulfate.
