The measurement of the internal eye pressure, or IntraOcular Pressure (IOP), is essential for the early detection and treatment of glaucoma. Non-contact tonometers provide a gentle way to measure the eye pressure. They are calibrated for standard eyes, which is sufficient for the majority of patients. In order to use them for non-standard eyes, the effects taking place during the pressure measurement have to be understood in detail. This paper presents results of a high speed monitoring of the eye deformations during a pressure measurement. It shows that a simple eye model can be used to capture the essence of the eye deformation.
