We compute the spin-denedent relativistic corrections of the heavy quark potential by using latticeQCD simulations within the quenched approximation. The results are important nonperturbativeinputs of an effective field theory called potential nonrelativistic QCD, which serves for a systematicstudy of heavy quarkonia. Utilizing the multilevel algorithm and the transfer matrix theory, wedetermine the corrections at the distances ranged from 0.25 to 1.2 fm. We observe long-rangenonperturbative contributions to the potential as well as a reasonable scaling behavior with respectto the change of lattice spacing.
