We investigate the relativistic corrections to the static quark-antiquark potential in SU(3) latticegauge theory for heavy quarkonium spectra. Utilizing the multi-level noise reduction algorithm, weobtain remarkably clean signals of these corrections up to r = 0.9 fm (1 fm = 10−15 m). We observelong range nonperturbative contributions to these corrections.
