The moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method is applied to the simulations of the decaying isotropic turbulence and the forced isotropic turbulence. And the computational results are compared with those of simulations by the finite difference method (FDM). Then, according to the observation of instantaneous vortex structures at the different times, the MPS method can reproduce the dynamics of vortex structures in turbulence. It is, however, found that there might be the upper limit in spatial resolution in order to stably continue the simulation by the MPS method, although the method in the lower spatial resolution gives the insufficient viscous dissipation rate and the simulation can not properly realize the energy cascade in the high-wavenumber region.
