概要

• We have conducted study on correlation between vegetation changes and flood impacts in the Chiyoda new channel to investigate the mechanism of vegetation washout under flood. Bed material of the channel mainly consists of gravel. In July 2009 large scale flood occurred. Vegetation just downstream the gate which was opened during the flood was almost flushed. Simulation was carried out to estimate stream regime and bed change under the flood. We also tried to clarify the condition of vegetation washout by using these simulation results.
