In order to meet the diverse needs of teachers and students, regarding audio visual learning materials and equipment, plus the needs of managerial staff, Aichi Shukutoku University has developed a new computerized system and data base for our new AV Cnter. The collaboration of the teachers and staff of AV Center, Center for Education of Information Science, Library, supported by NEC Information Service Ltd., created an original, very efficient system on the computer network that offers solution to most of the former problems and limitations of AV Center service. The data base for audio visual items, including videos, cassettes, etc., which is different from library DB, is accessible through dual language support system, while DB for AV Center booths facilitates the use of available equipment. The students' learning records, as well as other managerial records, instantly obtainable, provide teachers and staff possibility of improving their program/service. The current system, which naturally requires further improvement, promises extended service of the audio visual center at any university.
