Class timetable fixing system using genetic algorithms is developed. Especially in case many lectures are conducted over continuous plural periods, it would take a lot of time to get the optimal timetable solution, because generally each locus in a chromosome stores one period data separately. In this paper, Continuous Period Process is proposed, and adopted to the system, which expands a lecture data in a locus to adjoining ones, so that continuous plural periods are set for the lecture automatically. It is shown that this method saves much time to get the optimal solution.
