So-called Japanese Disease is still prevailing. In this paper, I would like to discuss the poor business performance of Japanese corporations in relation to the economic recession. The point is which comes first and more important, the corporate poor performance (micro-economy) or the recession (macro-economy). My stand-point is "micro-economy first"From that view-point, the philosophy and method to improve the Japanese corporate performance should be discussed.
