There are many studies about anti-rolling tank, and in the most of those the coupling effect only between rolling motion and anti-rolling tank are considered using Froude-Kriloff's assumption. But in general a ship laid broadside on the regular progressive waves performs not only rolling motion but also heaving, pitching, surging, swaying, yawing and drifting motion. In this paper, the coupled equations of motion for sway, yaw, roll and anti-rolling tank are developed based on Professor Tasai's theory about ship motions in beam seas, and comparisons with Doctor Watanabe, Chadwick and Takaishi's theory are made.
