南極白瀬氷河の流動速度の経年変動をJERS-1(地球資源衛星1号)とALOS(陸域観測技術衛星)搭載の合成開口レーダを用いて、JERS-1では1996年から1998年、ALOSでは2007年から2008年に得られたデータを画像相関法により調べた。これら期間において、接地線(GL)における流動速度に変化は見られない。しかし、GLから上流域の季節変は1996年から1998年において明瞭ではないが、2007年から2008年においては0.21km/aであり、有意な差が認められた。
