Many investigations have been done to evaluate performance of CO_2 Heat Pump for water heater by simulation and theoretical analysis and this paper try to present an experimental result of a heat pump operation. Focus of this experiment is to know the real performance of a CO_2 as Refrigerant for water heater Heat Pump during the nighttime, daytime, and 24 hours operation from a field test condition during winter time. Although this heat pump is operated out of its design specification, from the analysis, it still serves satisfactory COP, which higher COP for the daytime than nighttime with much influenced by the ambient air temperature.
