In 1978, ITTC power prediction metod was adopted as the standard method at 15th ITTC. It needs three kinds of model tests, i.e. the hull resistance test, the propeller open-water test and the self-propulsion test. Recently, several researchers presented new methods which do not always need above three tests. This paper outlines briefly those methods including ITTC 1978 method and shows comparisons of delivered horse power and rate of revolutions predicted by those methods applied to the two small (L_<pp>=2.50m) Series -60 (C_b=0.60) and GBT-25 (C_b=0.834) models tested at Kyushu University. Predicted results agree with each other within the range of empirical corrections.
