To analyze the hydrodynamic forces and moments acting upon the system of sails, the computer program using the Vortex Lattice Method (VLM) is developed. Taking into consideration about the free vortex deformation caused by the wind, the accuracy of estimations is improved. In case of several sails are located closely and interfered mutually, the estimation of hydrodynamic forces of each sail can be carried out successively. In order to avoid the infinite velocity at the vortex center, the Rankine vortex system is adopted in the computation instead of ordinary vortex system. As a result, stable computation can be achieved easily to obtain the converged solutions. In this paper followings are discussed. (1) Numerical techniques used in the computer programs (2) Validations of the hydrodynamic forces acting on each sail which is operating in the wake of the others (3) Applicative cases for sailing problems, especially the "hopeless-position" of the match lace of yachts
