• In the previous report, the author proposed simplified formulas for rough estimation of linear manoeuvring derivatives, as based on consideration on the flow around hull under manoeuvring motion. In the present report, further results are shown of experimental verifications of the above approach for several ship-forms in particular reference to the cases closely related to the ships' initial design consideration for manoeuvrability, such as of effect of change in ship's principal particulars, design of reasonable rudder area, or obtaining full-scale manoeuvring characteristics from the corresponding model test result. In spite of its being simple, present approach may be useful for simple estimation of basic manoeuvring characteristics especially in case model tests are not available or basic design insight in manoeuvring characteristics is needed.
