To calculate the critical wave height of deck wetness in regular wave, it is necessary to obtain the amplitudes of ship motions, and dynamic swell up due to ship motion and orbital motion of the wave. In this paper, first, using the Toki's method which dealt with the diffraction problem for Lewis form section, the author calculated the dynamic swell up due to orbital motion of the wave at the side of two-dimensional body. Secondly, the relative wave elevation at the side of two-dimensional body oscillating in regular wave were calculated by considering the dynamic swell up due to ship motion and orbital motion of the wave. In the next place, the critical wave height of deck wetness were obtained by making use of the relative wave elavation. Finally, the results of calculation were compared with experimental values.
