Auther have made an experiment and a trial on the theoretical analysis of the failure of the double shell-planking what has been laid diagonally both inner and outer which is often used for the wooden ship of the light construction. As the failure of these construction is mainly caused to the yield of the hole of nails which is adhered the both ends of the shell-planking to the gunwale, chine or keel the essential part of the analysis has been put on the point. In consequence it has become to presume the limit which rushes in the state of the failure of these construction.
