In order to make clear the effects of water temperature on the formative processes of rillenkarren, laboratory experiment was carried out. Two blocks made by plaster of paris, having 45° sloped surface with an area of 120mm slope length and 80mm width, were set, under the condition of vertical spray during the 1000 hours. Temperatures of tap water sprayed were 45±5℃ and 24±3℃. Changing forms of rillenkarren were measured on the cross-sections by photographs. Widths (W, mm) and depths (D, mm) were measured from the top of 45° lined surface to the 1cm, 2.5cm, 4cm, 6cm, 8cm, 10cm lower parts at the surface every 50 hours. In both cases of water temperature, 45±5℃ and 24±3℃, rillenkarren lengths increase downwards from the top of 45° inclined slopes in accordance with times. The original sloped surface was eroded and the following changes of rillenkarren forms were observed. Rillenkarren lengths in the case of water temperature, 45±5℃ become longer and faster downwards than water temperature, 24±3℃. In the case of water temperature, 45±5℃, widths expanded rapidly from the beginning time to 100 hours, cross-sections have deep shape from the beginning time to 200 hours. In an other case of water temperature, 24±3℃, widths expanded from the beginning time to 350 hours and depths of rillenkarren increased rapidly from start to 550 hours. After these times, the rates of growth became stable. Finally, solution volume was estimated using areas of rillenkarren's long profiles. It was indicated that the solution volume under 45±5℃ was greater than 24±3℃.
