37℃ with 100% humidity. The following observations were made: 1. This "hole glass agar-agar culture method" has various advantages. It has a high incidence of production of embryonated eggs, and attains fairly constant results at all times; it needs no skill to carry out the procedure after inoculation of eggs; microscopic pictures can be taken serially at any time, and slides can be long preserved; and observations can be made of the development of a large number of different batches of eggs continually in chronological sequence. 2. The numbers of days required for the eggs to reach the embrionated stage on the average were: 9.97 ± 0.40 days for Ascaris lumbricoides, and 8.44±0.55 days for A. suilla, at 29℃; 23.67±1.14 days for A. suilla at 21℃. 3. When incubated at 37℃, the eggs of A. suilla onld reached the segmentation stage, none of them showing any further developments. 4. Three different batches of Ascaris eggs, after having been kept in a refrigerator for 25 days, 40 days and 174 days, respectively, were incubated at 29℃ in the same way. The results have shown that there are no differences in the speed of development between the three different batches.
