The inhibitory effects of bacteriocidal and bacteriostatic agents on the intracellular virus growth in Escherichia Coli F_6 and Virus T_6g system have been investigated. The latent period of this virus system was 20 min. in synthetic medium. These agents differed from one another with respect to the mode of inhibitory actions, and they were classified into three groups by special features of each efficiency. (1) Addition of Penicillin G did not reduce the multiplicity of active . virus of this virus system. (2) Addition of basic Fuchsine, Dodecyl-picolinium-bromide or Cyanide to this virus system within the beginning 11 min. of latent period killed the infectious centers of this virus system, but the addition of each agent during last 9 min. of latent period allowed the exclusion of active virus. (3) Addition of Sulfonamides or l-Cysteine to this virus system, within the beginning of 7 to 8 min. of latent period, and each agent exists successively, virus reproduction were inhibited. Details and peculiar features of this group was as follows. (a) L-Cysteine of M/6000 inhibited chiefly the last-half stadium of the latent period of this virus system. (b) Gantrisin of 0.25 % inhibited strictly the synthesis process of this virus system at 8.5 min. after infection. (c) Homosulfamin of 0.25 % or Acetosulfamin of 0.25 % inhibited gradually the synthesis process of this virus system from the time of 7-8 min. after infection to the certain time.
