In this experiment, the white rats were sensitized by the intraperitoneal injection of the coeliac fluid of ascaris suilla three times on every other. day. (0.1 cc per 100 g of body weight of rats) 9.5 days after sensitization, the same rats were fed with thirty thousand embryonated eggs of ascaris suilla, and then from 24 hrs. to 21 days pathohistological changes in the organs of the animals were observed. On the second experiment, fifty thousand embryonated eggs were poured directly into the stomach of the sensitized rats. Then the infant worms which were turned back into the intestinal tract and were expelled with feces, were researched. The results are as follows. 1. Patho-histological chahges: In the sensitized cases, the following severe allergic changes in blood vessels are recognized. In intestine: Formation of fibrinous thrombus, fibrinoid swelling of perivascular connective tissue, looseness of vascular walls, hyperplasia and degeneration of endothel cells in the intima, and degeneration of muscular cells in the media of blood vessels. In lungs: Necrotic angitis, intense oedema of perivascular connective tissue with diapedesis of erythrocytes and acidophile leucocytes. In heart: Dilatation and bleeding of capillaries. When the larvae are passing through the organs, simultaneously the following intense reactions occured. They are phlegmonous infiltration of acidophile leucocytes in the submucous layer of intestine, nodular foci in lungs with severe infiltration of acidophile leucocytes and hyperplasia of the perifollicular tissue of spleen with the swelling of reticulum cells in germinal center and in pulp. Granuloma-formations in intestine, liver and lungs are definitely confirmed. Remarkable hyperplasia of argyrophilic fibers appears in the peripheral zone of the granuloma in lungs. Remarkable infiltration of acidophile leucocytes are revealed in the mucosa and submucosa of intestine, Glisson's capsules of liver, in perivascular and paribronchial connective tissue in lungs and in pulp of spleen. 2. Sights of the immature worms: In the sensitized cases, the immature worms which were expelled with feces are less in number and mostly smaller in size than in the control cases. Furthermore, in the sensitized cases, they are expelled rather earlier and the expelling term is rather shorter than in the control cases. 3. The above mentioned findings in the sensitized cases show that the remarkable allergic changes appeared in the organs of 'animals, and the larvae are hindered in growth and sometimes perished. Therefore, in the sensitized cases, the infant worths returning to intestinal tract are very few in number. Thus the sensitized white rats seem to have an immunological activity against the ascarisinfection.
