• Although our age is characterized by rapid technological progress, economists have been slow to extend the theory of the firm in regard to this phenomenon. In fact, many economists have tempted to shed light on the relationship between the economic growth and technological progress. The lack of microeconomic insights may have caused many problems, and most of a present paper is devoted to solving some of these problems through the models of technologically progressive firms.
