In the cellular MIMO systems, the system capacity can be increased with the presence of multi-user diversity (MUD). In this paper, a hybrid frequency reuse algorithm is proposed to realize efficient frequency reuse factor (FRF) allocation for cellular MIMO systems with MUD. As a result, the system capacity will be increased greatly. The system capacities by using the proposed algorithm are theoretically analyzed and the effectiveness of hybrid frequency reuse will be testified by numerical results.
