剣道の技術に関する基礎的考察

Scientific studies of Kendo techniques have not quite progressed in comparison with those of techniques of other sports. Therefore, Kendo instructors have had to teach techniques depending solely on their own experiences. Now, Kendo instructors are in need of grasping the contents of the techniques organized on the basis of scientific knowledge. We must fill their needs, and develop the scientific study of Kendo techniques. But in order to pursue this scientific study of Kendo techniques, we would like to clarify the essence of some theoretical and methodological problems prerequisite to the study. The purpose of this study is to point out the essence of these basic problems. In this study, firstly I will re-examine the meanings of terms relating to Kendo techniques to specify the concept of the techniques. Secondly I will explain the Kendo techniques from the point of view of the Game-theory to ascertain the characters of Kendo techniques. Lastly I will explain the concept of structural dimensions which form the basic framework of technical guidance in the hope of illustrating the contents of instruction of Kendo techniques.
