• This article discusses changes seen in the homily of St. Thomas in London, British Library, Cotton Caligula A. xiv. This homily is said to be a faithful duplicate of that in London, British Library, Julius E. vii. However, there are differences though not many. They may be simple mistakes, but some seem to be intended changes. Such changes will give us hints of the manuscript. The importance of further investigation on each manuscript will be suggested to complete the whole puzzle of the language situation in the Post-Conquest, whose manuscripts have rarely survived until today.
