The coronary artery image plays an important role for the diagnosis and treatment of coronary disease. More-over, the quality of reconstructions of coronary arteries from coronary angiography usually depends on the selected phase point. Due to heart motion, there exists inconsistency n the projection data such as motion artifacts and blurring. Therefore, an automatic method to select the optimum reconstruction phases is proposed in this study. The optimum phases were selected by evaluating the correlation coefficients with minimum inconsistency of the motion state in the selected data. Experimental result shows that the automatically determined phases yield the optimum image quality.
