This paper deals with theoretically and practically how top managers in the next generation can be nurtured and trained in Japanese companies. I finally found out the recent status and some problems of educating and training of top and middle managers. The role and some problems of corporate universities including action learning are also pointed out and examined. The recent status of educating and training of selected candidates who are selected at their young ages in order to become top managers in the future are pointed out in this paper. Also some issues are examined about self-controlled managers and other types of managers.
