• "Practical Management" was advocated by professor Yamashiro in his book (1960). There are other scholars whose management theories have been characterized by science and practice. This paper on "Practical Management" introduces some of their studies (The following two for further development: (1) Professor Kumojima's studies on clearly defined objective of business enterprises under the historical and social development, and human and industrial relations management in the narrow sense ; (2) professor Drucker's studies on the method of structuring the discipline of management, practices based on knowledge and responsibility for high performance, management entity's institutional aspects of enterprise strategy and governance and society, managing managerial time and bosses, and excellent Japanese management styles (i.e. decision-making, responsibility, long-term thinking, partnership between management and workers/labor unions, etc.).
